04.05.2010 - News - Product - Micro-snap is planned to be launched in May 2010. Microsnap is a rapid coliform and E.coli test that can detect one of these organisms in less than 7 hours. 03.01.2010 - News - Silliker Labs Inc. has just released the most comprehensive ATP study done to date. 5 ATP systems were evaluated on sensitivity, reproducibility and accuracy using ATP serial dilutions, food dilutions, food dilutions dried on surfaces and micro-organism detection. The conclusion from the report is that "The Hygiena swabs collectively are more sensitive to ATP and better at detecting low level food and cultures than all other systems." A BBC investigation into the underpaying of cleaners who are employed by contractors Hotelcare to work at hotels in the Park Plaza chain has revealed that rooms are often not being cleaned properly because the room attendants are being pressured to clean too quickly. 07.30.2009 - News -Hygiena International has won a tender to supply all Scottish NHS Boards with the Hygiena SystemSure Plus ATP monitoring system. After intensive evaluation work done in Scotland, the Hygiena system beat out all the competing ATP systems, including 3M. The system is already in use at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and is being widely used by Trust quality monitoring officers, ward matrons and domestic supervisors to check the cleanliness of patient areas within the hospitals.
